Dan Good joined Jon Kohler & Associates after a distinguished 30-year career in agricultural finance, bringing extensive experience in farm operations, timberland, recreational properties, and the relationships that make land ownership meaningful.

A native of Statesboro, Georgia, Dan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Mercer University, an MBA from Georgia Southern University, and is a graduate of the University of Georgia Banking School. After beginning his career in the cellular telephone industry, he transitioned into banking and agricultural lending, where he spent the majority of his professional life serving the farmers, timberland owners, and rural communities of South Georgia.

In 1996, Dan joined AgSouth Farm Credit and ultimately served as Regional Vice-President before retiring in 2025. Throughout his career, he worked alongside farmers, timberland owners, investors, and rural families, helping finance rural real estate transactions while collaborating with appraisers, foresters, surveyors, attorneys, accountants, and landowners. Those experiences provided him with a unique understanding of the financial, operational, and stewardship aspects of rural property ownership. Joining Jon Kohler & Associates allows Dan to combine his lifelong passion for rural land with decades of financial experience, serving buyers and sellers throughout South Georgia.

Dan and his wife, Wendy, have called Waycross home since 1994. Wendy is a retired elementary school principal and now serves as a literacy coach with Okefenokee RESA. Their son, Brantley, attends the Medical College of Georgia, and their daughter, Kate, attends the Dental College of Georgia. Both received their undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia.

Dan believes in giving back to the communities that have supported his family for more than three decades. He currently serves on the Waycross-Ware County Development Authority, is an elected Supervisor of the Satilla River Soil & Water Conservation District, serves as Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 304 at Waycross First Methodist Church, is a member of the Board of Trustees of Memorial Satilla Hospital, and is an active member of the Ware County Touchdown Club. Since 2010, he has also been a member of the Waycross Fishing Club on the Satilla River, reflecting his lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and the natural resources that make South Georgia unique.

Whether assisting a family purchase their first farm, an investor acquiring productive timberland, a sportsman finding the perfect recreational property, or a landowner passing a legacy to the next generation, Dan considers it a privilege to help clients achieve their goals while preserving the character of the land they cherish.
