Kyle Felty brings a rare combination of legal expertise, real estate experience, and a deep-rooted connection to North Florida’s landscapes to Jon Kohler & Associates.

Born and raised in Dixie County, Florida, Kyle grew up along the Suwannee River, where time outdoors and a strong sense of place shaped his appreciation for land and the lifestyle it represents. After earning degrees in real estate and finance from Florida State University, Kyle began his career in brokerage—first working in New York City, where he gained experience in commercial leasing and successfully initiated and closed retail and office transactions in a highly competitive market, then subsequently working in his family’s real estate brokerage business in North Florida. After his experience in brokerage Kyle went on to earn his law degree.

Over the next 15 years, he practiced transactional real estate law, representing clients across residential, commercial, and financial transactions. He is among a select group of attorneys in Florida to hold the Florida Bar Board Certification in Real Estate Law—an achievement that reflects a high level of expertise, professionalism, and commitment to the field. During this time, Kyle also founded and grew his own law firm, building a respected practice in Northern Palm Beach County before exiting in 2024.

In addition to his legal background, Kyle has extensive personal investment experience, having bought, sold, financed, and managed a wide range of real estate assets. His portfolio includes single-family rentals and commercial properties, giving him a practical, firsthand understanding of real estate from both an ownership and operational perspective.

Today, Kyle brings that depth of knowledge to Jon Kohler & Associates, where he is focused on helping clients understand the full value of land—not just as an asset, but as a long-term investment in lifestyle, legacy, and conservation. He has a particular interest in working with investors who may not have previously considered recreational or conservation land, as well as landowners who share a commitment to preserving the landscapes and culture of North Florida.

Kyle lives in Old Town with his wife, Macaele, and their two young sons. He recently restored their home along the Suwannee River—and in the little free time he has, when he’s not chasing his boys around, he can usually be found on the dock enjoying a cup of coffee or out on the water. Whether fishing or simply slowing down on the river, he’s raising his sons with the same appreciation for the outdoors that shaped his own upbringing.
